Pure cinematic genius!

Been to see 'Inception' twice now and short of inventing a new superlative for how good that film is this is the best I can come up with!

The Dark Knight has been my favourite film for a very long time...but I'm seriously considering knocking it off the top spot for Nolan's latest creation.

All hail King Nolan!!!

Big Day Tomorrow...

So, keeping up with this blogging thing is proving difficult to find time for...
But anyway...Inception is out tomorrow! And I, for one, cannot wait to see it! It's going to be so good to see a film that isn't an adaptation of something, or a remake. A true original. The review in Empire magazine was near flawless.

Also, saw a poster for a film called 'Splice' today. Looks kind of interesting. One of those 'what would happen if science went too far' type movies, but jumpy as hell!

Actually have a lot of film watching to catch up on...so will hopefully have more interesting things to write on here about.

New Batman Film Announced...

This news was like having every Christmas and Birthday all in one!

Too many questions...who will be the villain?...who will play the villain?...can it top The Dark Knight? The only information that has been confirmed is that it will be Nolan's last Batman film...so I expect he will want to go out with a bang!

I think the best villain to go for would be The Riddler, but a more dark and brooding take on him as opposed to the camp comedy of Jim Carrey in Batman Forever. But Nolan has used two villains in both of his efforts so far, so will he stick to that and deliver a double dose again? If he does then the only options really are The Penguin or Catwoman. The likes of Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy wouldn't fit in with his more realistic take on the franchise.

My biggest fear with this news is that he ruins all the good work already done in 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' by making a sequel that doesn't live up to the standards of the previous two. The bar is set pretty damn high. But having said that I thought the same when I heard The Dark Knight was being made...and that turned out to be my favourite film ever! In my opinion, Christopher Nolan is a legendary director, so if anyone is capable of delivering this film...it's him!

This could be an epic finish to an amzing trilogy, which could compete with the likes of 'Lord of the Rings', the 'Alien' films and 'The Godfather' trilogy any day of the week.
